History Timeline:
• 1914 (June) - Razing the existing buildings.[12]
• 1914 (Sept.) - The Dee-Eccles estates building is in progress.[13]
(Thomas Dee Company & David Eccles Company)
• 1915 (May) - The Berthana sucessfully opened.[8]
• 1928 - Thomas Dee Company becomes the sole owner.[14]
• 1931 - Ballroom is leased to Peery Company.[15]
• 1939 - Skating begins in August by operator, C.C. Sanders.[3]
• 1972 - Skating continues with new operator, Barbara Rigdon.[7]
• 1976 - Last newspaper article & no more ads about skating.
• 1977 - 10,000 sq ft. space was for rent.[10]
• 2017 - Loopnet listing in 2017 & 2018. (Posted below.)[16]
There is more to the story as the building still exists, but is beyond
the scope of this website as it is no longer a skating rink.
