"The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on Decatur's only and beloved roller skating rink and we are trying any and all avenues to try to save our rink from being closed for good. We have some repairs that have to take place before we can reopen and we are on a deadline. If we can't get these repairs completed and the rink opened by April 1st we will have to close down for good." "We bought it 4 months before the pandemic hit and have tried everything we can to keep it going."
Above statement came from their March 2021 GoFundMe page, "Help save the skating rink".
• Closed: 2021[17]
Special thanks to Kyle James Vachter for contacting the Prairland Punishers Roller Derby group to confirm the rink closing.
There was an auction ad in early 2021.
I emailed the auction house for details on 10-31-2022, but they have not replied.
