(It is said that Valle Vista Skating Center opened as early as 1948, but so far I haven't found any documentation to support this. 1959 articles (below) in Appeal Democrat, say "new rink".)
"In 2008, the building burned to the ground. At the time the Fire Department suggested that the fire was likely started by transients who were known to occupy the building."[8]
